About Lavender Orange Rock Oolong:

NEW SPRING 2023

A captivating fusion of the complex flavors of oolong, the soothing essence of lavender flowers, and a zesty twist of orange. This enchanting blend offers a earthy, floral aroma with bright citrus notes that delight the senses, while its smooth, well-balanced taste lingers on the palate.

Rock Oolong, also known as "Yancha" or "Wuyi Rock Tea," is a type of Oolong tea that originates from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province, China. The name "rock" comes from the fact that these tea plants grow in rocky, mineral-rich soil, which contributes to the tea's unique and complex flavor profile.

Rock oolongs are known for their rich, robust taste and distinct mineral, or "rocky" flavor called "yan yun." These teas often have a roasted, nutty, or toasty character, and may display fruity or floral notes as well, such as of orchid, honey, or peach. The degree of oxidation in rock Oolongs can vary, but they generally fall somewhere between green and black teas.

Some famous rock Oolong teas include Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe), Rou Gui (Cinnamon), and Shui Hsien (Water Sprite), the latter of which is the base of this blend. Shui Hsien is also sometimes referred to as Shui Xian (Narcissus).
