Compared to other types of electric machines, unipolar generators have a number of advantages. Simplicity of design, high overload capacity, high efficiency, absence of ripples in the current and voltage curve, possibility of direct connection to the turbine, etc. The use of superconducting winding in unipolar generators makes it possible to significantly increase the magnetic field and the generator's E.D.S..
