by William T. Terry MD (Author)

Highly readable, funny, and smart, Dad's Parenting Playbook: The S-M-I-L-E-S Approach to Raising Resilient Kids by William T. Terry, MD (Dr. T) is a parenting guide that sets forth an easy-to-follow playbook on the art of fatherhood. Dads will learn how to play an important role on a winning team that produces confident, resilient children. Dr. T's approach is structured around giving support, modeling for imitation, setting limits, and emphasizing the importance of education and spirituality. Divided into four quarters, the parenting game is on. With titles such as "Dads and Moms are Different: Jumping Out of a Six-foot Hole" and "Failure and a Positive Attitude: The Capacity to Adapt," readers learn how to interact with their children. Any man can be a father; it takes a man willing to go the distance to be a dad and this book will help him get there.
